Bus is the only public transport option in our Region. We offer a Council cab service to provide affordable transport for seniors and people with a disability.
Bus services within Toowoomba Region are not operated by us. Instead, bus services are provided through a combination of the Queensland Government's public transport network and other local operators.
The following transport options are available.
The Toowoomba local bus service is provided by Translink, a division of the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
For timetable and route information, please visit the Translink website or call Translink on 13 12 30.

There are several ways to contact Translink:

The Toowoomba Bus Station on Neil St, next to Chronicle Lane, is a facility available for bus companies (lower floor) and customer carparking (first floor and rooftop).
The bus station is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Off-street parking is available at the bus station as well as two-minute pick up/drop off parking and 10-minute disabled pick up/drop off parking along the Neil Street frontage.
Vehicles can park for a maximum of 28 days. The customer is charged both the day rate and the night rate for a 24 hour period. Any vehicles parked in excess of 28 days may be removed/towed and stored elsewhere at the owner's expense.
Fees can be found on our parking fees page.
Parking on Sundays is free. The customer still needs to obtain a ticket to park and will need to place that ticket in the payment machine so it can be ratified. On exit, use the ticket as usual and exit without payment.
There are two machines for payments - both payment machines are located near the lift.
Disability permit holders will be required to pay for their parking at the Bus Interchange, as the parking machines are unable to accept disability passes.
The long term parking on the rooftop is managed by Wilson’s Parking. To organise parking or for information regarding long term parking, please contact Wilson’s Parking on 1800 727 546.
You can request bus station maintenance or report an issue online.
