We are building water pipelines and a water treatment plant to connect to the new Toowoomba to Warwick Pipeline. This new water infrastructure will provide the communities of Cambooya, Greenmount, Nobby, and Clifton with safe and secure drinking water via the Toowoomba Bulk Water Supply Scheme.

The water treatment plant will be on Council-owned land at 13 Haldon Street, Greenmount.

The Queensland Government has granted $15 million to this project. Council has allocated $6.25 million from this funding to the project in its 2024/25 budget.

Start date

October 2024

Targeted completion date

2027 in line with the completion of the Toowoomba to Warwick Pipeline, weather and construction conditions permitting.
