Joseph J Leadbetter park features a popular walking/cycling path and is home to a skate facility and basketball court, located adjacent to Long Street. The park forms part of the East Creek recreation corridor with Lake Annand to the north.

Toilets, picnic and BBQ facilities and a children's playground are located at Lake Annand across the road.

The park was previously referred to as East Creek 5 Park. It was renamed in 2012 to honour Joseph Leadbetter who was a curator of Toowoomba’s parks and gardens between 1917 and 1940.
