eAudiobooks are books that you can listen to on your smartphone, iPod, MP3 player, tablet or computer. We have thousands of titles to choose from.
To borrow an eAudiobook you will need a Toowoomba Region Libraries membership number and a PIN. If you are currently not a Toowoomba Region library member, you can join online for free here.
We have 3 eAudiobook platforms: BorrowBox (Bolinda), OverDrive | Libby and hoopla.
The loan period is 14 days for both BorrowBox and Overdrive | Libby.
BorrowBox - you may borrow up to 4 eAudiobooks. Note: Borrowbox will count reservations as a loan. Loans may be renewed twice or you can return your eAudiobooks early if you wish to borrow more
OverDrive | Libby - you may borrow up to 10 titles (ebooks and/or eAudiobooks). You can return your eAudiobooks early if you wish to borrow more.
There are no limits to the number of renewals. If there are reservations for the title, your renewal will be placed in the queue. Once you reach the top place in the queue, the title will check out to you and open where you left off.

What are the different options for listening to eAudiobooks?
Download eAudiobooks
On the Download page, choose to download an eAudiobook either in a single download or in parts.
If you get a pop-up with options to Open, Run or Save your loan when you download, make sure that you select Save, otherwise, the eAudiobook will not save to your computer properly.
PC
Locate your downloaded eAudiobook folder, right click and select Extract All, then follow the prompts to finish unzipping.
MAC
Locate your eAudiobook folder, then double click to unzip.
Tips
Your downloaded eAudiobook folder will be located where you have set your internet browser to download to (e.g. Downloads, Desktop, etc).
For Mac users, we recommend using Safari as your internet browser as unzipping occurs automatically.
For those Mac users running the latest Mac OS, depending on your settings the eAudiobook may automatically populate into iTunes also.
Extensive help is available for downloading eAudiobooks for MP3 players on https://library.bolindadigital.com/toowoomba. To access help you will be required login with your library account and PIN.
