World Book Online hosts thousands of articles, as well as hundreds of maps, videos, and other media for an immersive learning experience. The following categories are available:

Kids (ages 6-10): A visually stunning resource with intuitive iconography, Kids provides thousands of easy-to-read articles with embedded multimedia for increased comprehension. Includes fantastic age-appropriate resources, such as important people, science projects, webquests, and games.

Student (ages 10-14): Student is packed with such research tools as citation builder, how to do research, compare places, interactive maps, and the world book atlas to help students get the most out of their research experience. World Book editors explain current events in Behind the Headlines, which includes quizzes and lesson plans.

Access is free whether in the library or at home. Ziptales is an online literacy 'library' designed for school, library, and home use. Ziptales has been a leader in the field of online literacy for more than 15 years.

Ziptales has three libraries:

• the preschool library (ages 2 - 4)
• the developing literacy library for prep - 2 (ages 5 - 7)
• the extending literacy library for years 3 - 6 (ages 8 - 11).

It is based on the latest research about how children develop and sustain a love of reading. The Ziptales “library” was built by trained teachers with the express purpose of making reading a pleasurable and lifelong experience.
