We provide a range of free online learning resources and reference databases to Toowoomba Region library members. Joining the library is free and can be done in person at any of our branches or you can join online for immediate access.

AustLit is an authoritative database about Australian literature and storytelling, with biographical and bibliographical information, full text, exhibitions and rich online content. AustLit supports research into, and the teaching of, Australian literary, narrative, and print cultures and the expansion of knowledge about the place of story in Australian culture in the past and present.

Haynes Manuals AllAccess is a library of manuals covering a vast range of car and motorcycle makes and models, with up-to-date content including common repairs, routine maintenance and servicing procedures.
Toowoomba Region Libraries offers free access to hundreds of online car and motorcycle manuals through its subscription to Haynes AllAccess Manuals.
Library members are able to access the manuals directly from home using their library card number or via a computer at their local library.
LinkedIn Learning is a leading online learning platform that helps anyone learn leadership, project management, mental health, job hunting, technology and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals. New courses are added every week and library members can select from beginner, intermediate or advanced levels.

This online program contains general and academic preparation and practice with interactive activities. The program is aimed at practising the challenges faced in the IELTS tests. This resource can be accessed from home or from the library using your library card barcode number.
Road to IELTS General Training Test - The general training test is for those who want to do work experience or training programs, secondary school or migrate to an English-speaking country. Please provide your library barcode number when prompted.

Practical Writing is a program that will help students with writing essays, emails, reports, job applications, notes, letters and more.
Clear Pronunciation Sounds is a program that will aid learners to recognize and pronounce the 43 sounds of English through audio, video and interactive activities. Students work with each sound in isolation, in words, sentences and in authentic texts.
The State Library of Queensland provides access to a large number of authoritative e-resources including online journals, newspapers, magazines and websites, online training courses, legislation and encyclopedias.
All e-resources can be accessed from home using a SLQ membership. If you are not yet a member you can register online to get immediate access to services, collections and facilities.

Trove is a fantastic comprehensive online resource by Australians for Australians.
It is an online gateway to resources from more than one thousand Australian libraries, museums and galleries. Trove helps you find and use resources relating to Australia. It's more than a search engine. Trove brings together content from libraries, museums, archives, repositories and other research and collecting organisations big and small.
World Book Online hosts thousands of articles and hundreds of maps, videos, and other media for an immersive learning experience. Select the Advanced (ages 14 and up) category to use the same effective research tools as Student (for ages 10-14), plus access to primary sources, historical documents, and multimedia directly from each encyclopedia article.
